As it is right now I am going to therapy. I did a really sad drawing about how I felt then, and I recently found it and gave it to the therapist.

We are going to do a ceremony and burn the drawing. I am already crying. So many emotions and hurt.


But we deserve freedom, plain and simple.

Yes ala3037, in my experience, life can be sad, painful and difficult but it is still a breeze compared to having that madness in your life. Stress takes its toll. All in all I prefer to live in reality.

I took mine back so many times.
You have to stop judging yourself, and move into a resolve to do what you can, what is available to you emotionally right now.

Go to Alanon, and it will help you get some ground in your heart and mind.

Try not to beat yourself up.

Ala, I'm so sorry for where you are right now. There are many here at SR much wiser than I but I can tell you that a little over a month in Al Anon has taught me more and given me more strength than I ever thought possible.

Please go and please keep posting.

Good morning. I'm going to go to al anon and I'm going to see a therapist and I will figure out the right way to handle this. I don't want to yell, say mean things or make me look like some prude. All of your support has been a gift from God. Chin up, stay positive and continue my quest for the magic wand that's somewhere left of me.

I think half of my friends here in SR can tell you "YES YOU CAN CHANGE!! " and THEYhave proved it works....as long as they work the HONEST program every single day and they are REAL to what and who they are...yeppers i believe it...

You are in the right place and we are all here for you. YOU are not alone, I can really identify with the way you are feeling, I had this happen to me too. after 10 years of recovery my alcoholic picked up again and it was very hard and letting go of his behavior was so hard for me. our stories are all alike but different if you know what I mean. keep posting, reading and please go to an alanon meeting, I went and it made me feel so much better, they listened and never judged me, I was embrassed into a very giving and supportive environment when I couldn't take care of myself and didn't know what to do. I learned from example of the others in the meeting. experiences, strength and most of all hope are what it is all about dear. please hang in there. all the best to you....m

Thank you so much. I didn't go to the meeting, I was chicken. I'm seeing a therapist next week and hope to get more courage and knowledge I need to be true myself and my needs/wants.
