All went as planned. He looked hungover-no surprise there.

I get into work this morning and there is an email from him--Does anyone know if I still have health insurance for a period of time, or is it now cut off immediately?

I burst out laughing. The selfishness knows no bounds. The guy walked off with a lot of money yesterday (remember I had 20 years in where I work and he got pretty darn close to half my pension) and he is asking me about health insurance. This is the same guy, who when I offered him a separation about 1 1/2 years ago so he could have health insurance told me to take my f'ing health insurance and place it somewhere not very nice.

I am so happy I don't have to deal with him anymore (with money things-will always have to deal with him when it comes to the kids). I am faxing the change form over to HR today and they will send him is COBRA package.

I already see it coming though--he will use the cost of COBRA to get his child support reduced yet again. At least I won't be surprised when it happens. He is fairly predictable that way.

Can think of the perfect Cobra package for your X, and it has as lots of venom, just like him.

God bless

I am glad that you have your freedom and now can move on with your life!

As for him, he is a real piece of work. Me,Me,I,I....it really gets old doesn't it?

I wish you the peace and happiness you so deserve!

I am not sure that he can do that, but maybe he can.

i kind of figured that the kids have to have their money, no matter if he has insurance or not. hope so anyway.

congrats and the best of everything to you.
i am sooooo happy that you are free!

it is a good feeling , isnt it?

hugs,

I don't know the law where you live, but here, just getting a bill for health insurance or other expenses doesn't constitute "changed circumstances" warranting a change in child support. Tough noogies, he can get a job with health insurance if it's so important to him.

Congrats on your freedom!!

Jadmack that is pretty funny!

It does feel good to be free and to not respond to his emails that I do not need to respond to. He is a major piece of work. As for getting child support reduced. I have been amazed how he has gotten it whittled away. He has gotten it reduced 30% in one year. I am trying to make my budget based on not getting anything. The good thing is the court ordered a wage assignment-so as long as he has a job I will get child support. But I have no control over that than anything else.
