Because it is NOT a problem for him. The problem for him is being called on it, and trying to do something (cut back or quit), that his mind and body desperately want.
You and he are not on the same page, and probably never will be.

Thank you jadmack25!!!!! That is exactly how it is and hearing it from somewhere else really puts it into perspective for me. My son and I just came home from store and he was sleeping. He woke up and said " think I'm coming down with something." I told him " you say that every week", because he really does. Well that really set him off, so he says " maybe I'll just die then you don't have to deal with me anymore". Nicely put while your five yr old is sitting right there. You all are so wonderful for listening and helping.
