My dear SR family,
The love, hope, support and the realization that God is great has poured
so sweetly and faithfully thru your words! It has brought this momma to
her knees in that fact that I feel so blessed to have each and everyone of
my SR family standing right by my side, holding my hand and walking the
walk with me.!
I am in tears with amazement, very greatful tears.
This disease is cruel, not health, it's unkind and doesn't give a crap about
who it plows down along its way as it destroys so many lives.
It's a creepy Devils disease but...its up against such a powerful, loving and beautiful weapon..our Higher Power!!! God is truly great!!!!
And, our
secret weapon, who walks with us, prays for us, give us hope, dries our
tears, encourages our hope and loves us....her name among other great
leaders at SR, is
ANN!
Your post really made me think about what addiction can do to us mommas.
I will not let this brain disease destroy me. Thank you again, ANN, for caring
about us. I/we love you dearly.

Aww, Twofish, I am only passing on what was so freely given to me by those who went before me. When something I say helps you or anyone here, then I have in my own little way repaid a little of the debt of gratitude I have for others who shared their recovery with me.
The best lesson I ever learned was that a power greater than myself, I choose to call Him God, hears our prayers and in my own little way, I think God has a soft spot in His heart for Codie moms and dads and addicts who struggle but continue to try.
Each morning I give the care of my son to Him, and today I will ask for His light to shine on your son and others here who have sat in the darkness far too long.
