I Will Not Drink/Use Today Part 2
I Will Not Drink/Use Today Part 2
I had a drinking dream last night.
It was so weird, I was discussing the rebranding of a lager that isn't even on the market anymore. Then I took a sip from a can. I could actually taste it.
Then I realised what I'd done and went into a complete meltdown.
It was worth having that dream just for the feeling of elation when I woke up and realised it was just that.
My flight to new (geographical) life leaves in fifteen hours. Yay. :-)

I am so over this ridiculous sleep schedule... always up at night. Lay in bed for hours and don't sleep. Anxiety anxiety anxiety.
I try and exercise daily now but all I got yesterday was a measly walk maybe 20 minutes and more of a stroll really. Being sleep deprived all the time messes with my ability to exercise. And I wanted to enjoy Fall.

I used to get ten hours of deep, sound sleep every night.
For the past year or so I've been waking up with bilateral pain on my sides due to a neck vertebrae problem. So I toss and turn from side to side (I used to zonk out like a corpse all night on my back--I even folded my arms neatly on my chest like I was being shown in an open casket!).
I deteriorated into sleeping for two hours, waking up for another two, then sleeping again. Now I do that three or four times a week. I try to fall back asleep in bed, but I can't.
I'm sorry you have been so troubled, Sleepie.
I know I've been eating too much junk and not keeping up with my exercise.
I've got physical therapy neck exercises I could be doing, too--but they consume an entire hour!
I really should do a better job with wellness.

I had a brief pang at lunch on Sunday. The local chain burger restaurant had a craft beer tasting promotion in their bar that looked really fun.
It was just a second; then I reasoned with myself that I don't even like the taste of beer. It was just the fancy feeling of do-it-myself connoisseurship that appealed--the lazy, leisure feeling of sampling this and that.
Then last night my brother-in-law sent a text of his election victory celebratory bottle:

LOL!

Sleepie I feel for you. I'm rounding out almost 2 weeks of unbearable fatigue that no amount of sleep seems to fix. I've also had many years of insomnia. Sleep problems are no joke and not much to laugh about- it's enough to drive a person crazy!
Good for you for sticking to a healthy diet. I will admit I mostly like really healthy foods but because I like to binge I'm not good to follow a meal plan. I am working on that, it's something I really need to address.
Gilmer- haha! Perrrty funny!
Re your neck exercises- have you thought about breaking them down into shorter sessions? I have a short attention span so I like to do things in 20 to 30 minute intervals, before I get bored. Sorry about your body pains. Have you tried a warm bath with epsom salts?
Tufty- thinking about you my friend, if you're off already that is. Can't wait to hear all about it. I love that line from Fight Club. Love the whole movie.
Hi courage, trach, Dee, hawkeye, and whatever ovelylovely person who comes and goes in the hallowed halls of the slightly deranged but mostly fantabulous persons.

I had stomach turning vegetable turmeric soup. water water water and no cheese today. But decaf unlimited. I seem to get what feels like sugar lows so ate some black lentils even though I'd prefer no carbs.
I am in a city built on a history of meat Gilmer and you can't throw a stick without hitting a burger place and these days everything is gourmet. We have a guilty pleasure or two in the neighborhood we go to on occasion.
but not this week!

Hi all peeps & ovely-lovelies
I <3 emoji-waving.
Listening to Built to Spill in concert.
I have a neck pain thing. Years ago they x-rayed it & all's they had to say --besides sending me to physical therapy which I couldn't afford & putting me in traction which I ***loved**** -- was, "have you ever been in a car crash?"
I used to sleep on my back too. Now I sleep with 5 pillows tucked all around me in strategic spots so I'm kind of like the dog part of a corn dog.
Why do padded walls have such a bad reputation?
