1 year complete for grubby!
Where does the time go?
I woke up today and realized my last day of drinking was on this same exact day in 2014. I feel so much better, and am sleeping okay on a nightly basis.
That is a far cry from the chaotic first couple months, with temptation high and good sleep very spotty and hard to come by. Looking back through some of my earlier posts I can't believe I used to consider 4-5 hours of sleep "good", but then again i guess it is a testament to just how bad the situation was in those dark early days. 4 hours sleep when you are averaging 0-1 hours from withdrawal really does seem like "a lot".
(02 - 17 - 2014) to (02 - 17 - 2015) is complete at the end of today
For those wondering, I didn't do anything special. I just decided to stop drinking and stuck with the decision. I didn't bother with AA or anything like that, after a couple months off the bottle I felt I had somewhat a handle on things as far as cravings go.
To celebrate I think I'm gonna bust out my credit card and treat myself to something off the internet. Maybe see a movie later too.
Thank you all so much for the support and prompt replies to questions

Thank you for the kind words.
Interestingly enough, it is freezing outside and heavy snowfall from yesterday is still on the ground, so that limits what i can do to celebrate. If i recall correctly it was also freezing on this same day last year - a bit of deja vu there. I always liked to drink on snowy/dreary days such as this, it caused the day to just fly by. Right now i'm sipping on a fresh coffee and just getting my day started, so I'll see what I do today.
I don't know, I'll probably just stay inside if it is still bad out there by afternoon.
Booze or not, Amazon prime is great for snowy days like these
