*Ring Ring* Weekenders!
A wise sober man (Mecanix) wrote about a sober bike. We start with training wheels and move on to the next level of skill and balance.
So *Ring Ring* goes to bell as you make your way through this weekend!
Check in here and lets go for it!
If you wobble or fall ring your bell and get back up and on.
If you don’t and are getting a pace ring that bell and share as well!
Love you weekenders! You rock!

I'm in...all this talk about biking is making me remember how much I loved bike riding as a kid. Maybe that will be something to relearn now that I won't fall off due to drinking lol
Happy weekend everyone!

Day 63 here. I just got off work and I'm feeling pretty good! My little project this weekend is ...tacos de lengua. Cow tongue tacos. If you've never eaten these from an authentic taco truck, you don't know what you're missing. I thought I'd try making this at home; just brought home a 3 pound raw cow tongue.
*Ring*, first sober weekend since last September...
...and boy, have I got some big plans. I'm really living it up this weekend: I'm doing my taxes. And I have to file with two different countries this year. Oy!
Anyway, rant over. Have a good weekend everyone.

Dude, I enjoy a good taco de lengua or two - but there is no way in hell I am ever buying a 3lb cow tongue at the butcher shop and bringing it into my home. Not possible.
Speaking of not possible: drinking. Staying sober, hope the weather improves over the weekend so I can get out and enjoy the town. Right now it's really cold here in the Midwest and it's gloomy and rainy. Yeeesh.

Haha!
I had second thoughts when I unwrapped the butcher paper to cut it to fit in a crock pot. It's a really strange experience to butcher a 3 pound cow tongue. Not to get too graphic, but feeling the tastebuds(?) was odd. Can't wait to invite some friends over tomorrow to eat this thing!

I'm doing some regional traveling this weekend, stopped in an area that has a Fish Fry special tonight. It's just a restaurant and doesn't serve alcohol, I think I'll check that out.
Normally when I think of Friday Fish Fries I think of a local crowd gathering at a VFW and eating on checkered table cloths. I guess my experience will be a bit different tonight, but it works for me! Getting hungry already...why all this talk of food? I'm trying to wait until at least 6:30 to go over there!
Speaking of food....on Friday evenings my bf and I generally go out to dinner. I normally really struggle with Friday nights wanting to drink and tonight I'm particularly tired. So I decided to intentionally break tradition and not go out to dinner. We stayed home and had pizza and ice cream instead. I'm in my jammies and hanging out in the recliner. And I'm feeling great....I'm not even thinking about drinking. Maybe I will have to start a new Friday tradition!
