When will it end?
I think we have all felt that way at one time or another, I know I sure did. Please know and have faith that you are not hopeless. The crazy cycle does end when you choose. Doesn't mean it's simple or pleasant, but it can be done.
Hang in there, just focus on today, tomorrow will take care of itself.

ovrock,
I feel for you. I know how it feels when you feel like you can't do anything right, nothing works, everthing fails (including myself). Heck my coworkers make me feel like that everyday at work! LOL
Can you elaborate? What's going on?
We're all here for each other to help each other through the rough spots. :ghug3

ovrock, even though it seems like you are helpless...you are not. I know that feeling well. There is always hope...always. Just getting out how you are feeling can be the impetus for grabbing onto the tiniest sliver of hope and going from there. Keep posting.

Oh boy. Maybe you should go to a doctor and advise them you want to quit, that way they can help you through detox.
I don't know what else to say other than my heart goes out to you. And, no, you are not alone. Stay on here. Talk. We'll keep you company. BIG HUG!
I promise, no matter how alone you feel you have people here who care.

Getting professional help is probably a good idea...
But also, maybe you should acknowledge to yourself that it's gonna suck for a while, you know? Take a deep breath, remind yourself why you are doing this and take it as it comes. If you want to, you can do this

ovrock,
I'm right there with you. Stay close here and listen to what the voice of experience shares. Our feelings can take us all kinds of places we really don't need to go.
Glad you are on board.

ovrock whatever you do, do not put anymore alcohol in your body right now. It is exacerbating the depression to an acute level. Consider going to the ER for the withdrawls and tell someone there about your depression. Sometimes we need help protecting ourselves from ourselves.

Ive really been where you are. It is a scary place to be. Im glad your drinking the mint tea. Its a good thing to try and comfort yourself. Maybe you could take a warm bath put on some music that you like. Know that people are pulling for you.Getting sober is a hard thing to do but so worth it! If it was easy it wouldnt be so worth while. In life It seems the most worth while things arent the easist. Get to a meeting as soon as you can. If you need to go to the hospital thats ok. Docters are helpful when need be.

I made an appointment at a treatment center. They sound really professional. I've never made such a step. I guess I was too embarrassed to do it. The situation is now dire. I am not ashamed of my illness anymore....
Thank you SR
