I recently watched Salton Sea and Chrystal as well.. not fantastic but an enlightening portrayal.

My all time fav though, "When a Man Loves a Women".. I loved it so much that when I got to be the speaker a couple of weeks ago I started out.. "Tonight I get to be Meg Ryan.." *LOL*

I rented and watched "Requiem for a Dream" last night. Pretty scary, definitely not a hollywood type movie. I also rented "Who's afraid of the virginia woolf", still have to finish watching it. I looked for the "barfly" but couldn't find it. Tonight I'm gonna look for "The days of wines and roses" and the "Lost Weekend".

It looks like many of these movies are older black and white movies.

"Bringing Out The Dead" with Nicolas Cage, John Goodman. In this movie he's a paramedic and just has a really hard time dealing with life; funny, identifiable and very real. One of my favorites.

"Gridlocked" with 2pac. It's about 2 guys who want to get into rehab in New York. It shows all the red tape bull#### that one must do if they want to get treatment, but are uninsured. It is quite amusing at times as well.
