The fires are really bad here. It is scary and sad. There is an over 2,000 acre uncontained fire very close to here, where I used to keep my horses. People were taking horse trailers in and getting the animals to safety, grateful for the good people in the world! Thank you all for the good wishes for CA wildfires.
Bim, the beautiful picture you posted looks like the foothills up to our big mountain here.

Leigh, love your cake too! I am so grateful for the firefighters on the lines, esp the volunteers and the volunteer inmates who help to fight the fires. Your cake is a little tribute to them. They are different firefighters from the ones that we use for everyday stuff. These people really put their lives on the line.

Yea... thank you for prayers that it does rain... but no rain in sight.....
Thanks for the Fire fighter cake ... looks so good I don't want to cut it up.... will save it and remember how hard the firefighters are working.....here in California..

But for now I can smell the smoke from the fires here in California..... doesn't look good and I am praying they put out the fires....

Just need to stay on the Bus in a cool spot.... to really chill....

Thanks for the prayers ..can use all I can get for now... worry about my mom.. but she has nephew, niece, 8 great grand kids, my sister around
her that will keep an eye on her as they all live near her.... closer than me..... I can call her as much as possible...but 1 older brother in Idaho,
1 in Florida that check on her as well.... guess I am 4 hours drive coming from the south.... all I can do is pray for her that the fire stays away...

Grateful I live in a place behind the Mission La Purisima .... but even that is not good as there was an explosion in Lompoc at gas company.....

On the bus to stay for a while as it is safer that not staying....... I have coffee brewing for those that want some and fresh muffins
