Please stay on the Sober bus - pt.37
I hope the yellow jackets didn't carry Dragon away!
Yes, I am at the Jersey shore. I am happy that many parcels have been saved from development here over the years. It is rare to see coastline anywhere on the east coast that isn't filled with million dollar properties right on the water's edge.
Got to see the sun come up over the ocean one more time this morning. A large storm is expected tomorrow, so it will be an inside day.
On the bus, coffee well in hand!

Can't see the sun rise thru the thick fog this morning... but it will show it's self later...
Got coffee in hand as I get on the bus....
Need to find a seat and get cozy with a blanket..... or maybe a cold dip would get me going...
then the cozy blanket could keep me warm.....

I'm on.
The South East Coast here in England England is extremely crowded too stargazer with many expensive properties lining the shore although the way our economy is going maybe not for much longer.
Have a grrreat Thursday!

I'm here. Yellow jackets dealt with. My morning routine of checking and watering the garden has been taking precedence over checking in. Sobriety has really enriched my life. Ukulele, Workshop and now growing veggies. I harvested my first celery this week, yum! So much better than the dehydrated and stringy store bought stuff.
Speaking of the store, while out grocery shopping last night I saw a woman wearing a t-shirt with a VW camper van on the front. I thought it might've been you Bimi, but she was wearing a mask so it was hard to tell. :^>
Why would the receptionist claim ownership of your cat? is it chipped or tattooed? How long have you been taking it to that vet? Maybe a chat with the head vet? I wouldn't want to bring my pet back there...

Please send delicious celery. I can never find any that isn't turning yellow. Nice to see you Dragon.
Everyone working at the vet was unfriendly and confrontational. I was having a lot of trouble with a prescription refill that I've had for seven years. They doubled the price. Long story.
It was a back and forth that got increasingly tense.
At the end of it all I got exasperated and emailed the actual vet.
Turns out one of their techs is out with suspected Covid and they are all waiting to see if they are affected and they were super busy with surgeries and emergencies.
That explains some of the tension. At one point I even asked on the phone, "Is something going on there? You are all being so difficult to deal with." Rather than explain to me, I was hung up on twice by the receptionist. I'm sure she was scared and was not allowed to tell me, but I've gone to that vet for 17 years. I'm looking for a new vet.
