Let's go somewhere sunny and inviting like Bran Castle in Romania. It is better known as Dracula's Castle but most historians say Vlad Tepes lll, the guy Dracula was based on never set foot there in real life. It is certainly a spectacular location.

There better be some elevators in there because I won't make it to the top.
I suffer from moderate COPD and I'll be out of breath in a few minutes if there are only stairs we can use...

There is still a dangerous fire on Kangaroo Island (a large, very large island about 5 miles off shore), volunteer firies who have just finished battling the Adelaide fires have gone over, plus an army of volunteers and some bigwig polies. Temperatures are in the 40's tomorrow- so wait and see....

I saw on FB someone posted an overlay of Australia on top of the US and showed the extent of the fires. Such a huge swath of your country is engulfed PJ. It is staggering to see. Most here is the US have no idea of the scale of destruction going on and lives upended.

The worst thing reading and viewing coverage of those fires is the helplessness I feel. We really need to learn not to abuse our planet's atmosphere. I'm as guilty of that as anyone.
