Day 318.

I was out looking round the second hand shops in town today. I'm managing to buy back a lot of the DVDs I originally owned, but sold to buy alcohol.

Sort of feels like I'm redressing a balance.

339.

Not gonna lie guys, my mental health is trash right now. Really concentrating on pushing through to a year and then doing a reset on my diet and exercise.

Hang in there... A reset on diet and exercise is good idea.

I think I've lost a day somewhere, just worked out I should on day 322, not 321.

Where's my calendar!

1226 today. The amazing number is the money saved. On average I bought a 12-pack of Fat Tire beer every day. Typically that cost $13.00 That's $15,938 saved. I now have a rainy day fund I never would have had when drinking. It's a used car. A down payment on a condo. Several vacations. It's awesome finding sobriety.

Day 494

Hi All

Day 494 (129 since last slip). Just checking in, Ive been doing well however in the last few days I have begun to have thoughts about drinking again.

I was in a restaurant which has a good selection of beers and I was sorely tempted. That night I couldn't sleep from thoughts of getting completely staggeringly drunk. It was weird as I go to pubs often and am happy that I just don't drink anymore. I guess the pull just will rear it's head once in a while.

Anyway I thought I'd come back and remember how much I had to fight to resist the pull to drink last year. I don't want to go back there so I'm here.

342.

Hope y'all had a lovely Mother's Day!

For me it was the first cut of the year. And as we all know, the first cut is the deepest.
