"The Community with the Pioneer Spirit". Doesn't seem to be much said about the Rose monument on the 'net. But Sandy Lake looks like a nice serene place for one to spend sober years in retirement.

The guy in the video is Alexander Mickelthwate, conductor of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. (Unfortunately, he's moving on to the Oklahama City Philharmonic after this season).

Even this little information point doesn't escape from the attentions of graffitists. I have no idea who the guy in the reflection is but he looks like a dubious character.
