Because I never want that empty, sad feeling I'd get after a few drinks...realizing this black hole was still there.
Because I never want to feel hungover, with all of the anxiety and tears, ever again.
Because I don't want to risk DUI, or losing my job, or death.
Because I have a good relationship with God and basically everyone in my life right now.
Great thread.

I'm not drinking today because.
It's 3 AM and I will soon be driving to work sober.
In my old drinking days I was drinking two tall cans of Bud in the shower each morning before leaving for work.
No longer -- married to the "liquid devil".

God wants me to be of sober mind and body.

Going to Hawaii next week and I want to have a nice sober time.
Making the vacation one to remember in a good way.
Wouldn't want my wife to take a different plane home!!!!!!!!
