I had a few years sober and was trying to dice up cabbage in a blender. There should be a warning not to stick your hand in the blender while it's moving.
Who knew? Just got the tip of my middle finger thank goodness

So proud of you for facing today head on! Just goes to show that we can build things up in our mind and they rarely ever happen! Bet you'll sleep good tonight!

Great you faced the fear and prevailed. The things we get worked up over are rarely worth the energy we expend.

Hey, you showed up. You had a choice and you showed up! Way to go. Make certain to maximize the pats on the back for that. It is huge.

Way to go, Holmes! You stared down your fear and now that situation is history. If you had stayed home you would be a nervous wreck all weekend and this thing would just keep growing in your head.

I was in the golf business for several years and screw ups were how nicknames were born. I supervised a group of part-time employees who screwed up all the time, but as long as it wasn't intentional I didn't get on their case (too bad, lol). One guy forgot to unplug the charger before pulling a cart out of the cart barn, pulled the charger down and caused a short-lived electrical fire. His coworker buddies gave him the nickname of "Sparky".

My motto was that "stuff happens". As long as they are honest about it all was forgiven.

Great job on handling that situation! As for screw ups at work and home....I'd almost need my own forum to list em all. Don't sweat it!

I had to re-learn to drive sober. Backed my van out of the garage after unloading groceries with hatch still up shattering back glass at about 4 months sober. Was going to wash it--spent hour cleaning up glass instead. I spent half my life doing things under the influence. I owe it to myself to give at least that much time practicing sober. Best wishes.
