Google in <cdc+causes of death> for a plethora of Stats, as reported. Assumptions about Stats reporting is in separate Methodology Docs.
In Post #16 here, Deckard brought these Stats to mind.
Conjecture is a bottomless exercise IME, but perhaps starting with Stats will be useful. I always find insights in Data examined dispassionately.
