hello again
Have you tried to seek any help for your drinking? It's a completely separate issue and there are a world of resources available out there.
Bh28,
welcome back.
hormones out of whack doesn't necessitate keeping on drinking. if it did, every teenager, pregnant woman or menopausal woman as well as every prostrate cancer guy on hormones would all be getting drunk and keep on getting drunk. heavens, most the world would be out of it.
hope you find a doc who'll help with hormones; congrats on coming back here to SR where there's help for the stopping of drinking.
if you want to. stop, that is.

thanks for the replies guys. yes, I'm willing to give sobriety a go. Yesterday was supposed to be day one but I lapsed because of severe anxiety and cravings.
I think I need to detox, so i'm getting my gp to refer me today.
I've stopped the strong cider (was drinking 4-5 litres daily) and cut down to 4.5% lager about 6-8 cans daily. It's an improvement but I need to stop completely. It is holding me back totally.
All the money I spend on booze, I could save and see a private doc to refer me to an endocrinologist but no, I spend it on booze and cigs and tbh I really have had enough, that's why I came back here.

If your life hasn't improved in five years then perhaps it's time to try something else. We all had excuses to drink but in the end we drink because we're alcoholics. When I got sober I learned that I don't HAVE to drink today. It's a choice. I couldn't stop on my own so when I almost died from alcohol I got on my hands and knees and crawled into AA. Didn't want to, but I had what's called "the gift of desperation". It's 23 years since my last drink. I did it by not picking up a drink TODAY.

On testosterone I was getting 100+ erections a day. No joke. But when I came off it died.
All my doctors think testosterone is the cause because it is. It is why men seek treatment for ED because of steroid abuse and low T.
There are thousands of guys shut down by steroids with ED.
4 endos think and know that anabolic steroids caused my ED.
Read up symptoms of low T.
ED is on the top of the list.
