I was offered some Irish Cream for after dinner and promptly said no but my Mom expected that, she was just being polite to include me. All my close family knows my history so they don't pressure me by offering. They don't drink much either though as the ones who do drink only had a glass of wine.

I had no desire and no plans so all is right in my world

I went to a morning meeting and saw some friends. Drinking is not a part of my life.

Second sober Christmas. It did not stop my brother in law giving me two memorabilia Stella Artois beer glasses for Christmas. I guess he doesn't know I don't drink and I suppose they will gather dust in the garage with some aged and abandoned bottles of beer ignored for well over a year and kept for visitors. HoHoHo.

I was the only sober person in my whole family (except the small children)! It was tough.

I think the question was, "Did you drink?"

Karate, the question was "did you drink?" To which your answer was yes.

Almost Unbelievable

I brought a bottle of 7 Up and a bottle of cranberry juice to my family Christmas gathering yesterday.
Turns out everyone started drinking them instead of booze because they were all so hung over from Xmas eve.
I think the whole family was in shock watching as we experienced an (almost) sober xmas.
They did drink wine during dinner.
But it was surreal...

Tomorrow is a dozen days for me. Feels great.
Way to go people.

Peace!

D.D.

that's funny johno! It's hard to retrain our friends and family, huh? Good for you, though, putting them in the garage where they belong!
