congratulations I am a year and 2 months sober myself and it's been an amazing yet challenging journey so far, I wouldn't trade it for booze ever again. Sure there has been many occasions of passing away relatives, losing my girlfriend in a break up. But in the end.... I'm sober, and still am after all those events that could have affected me greatly if I still drank alcohol. Finally seeing the light of AA and committing to it was the smartest decision i've made yet, its great to hear your doing alright and that you keep moving forward in life by being sober. 24 hours each day I do not pick up a drink and for that I am grateful

Congratulations on the year. But more so, congratulations on your new life. I can really relate to very thing you've said in this inspiring post...especially the bit about being proud of being there for your family 24 hours a day now...me too!

Thanks so much!
