I remember the days of only drinking one bottle of wine...kinda miss being satisfied with JUST that amount.
Now, it takes about 2 before I feel I am close to done. Ugh--guess that is what it means by being progressive...
Best to you.

I was a binge drinker too. I knew I had to figure out, during the times I was sober, what made me binge when I DID drink.
Then I realized that I needed more sober time to figure that out. The best way for me to get that was to not drink at all. So now I am not drinking and figuring some things out. Since I stopped drinking, I haven't binged a single time.
As so many people have said, it's simple...but not easy. The best way for me to stop binging, is for me to not start drinking, ever.
The best way to figure out how to not start drinking ever, was for me to hang out here and read, and read and read and then try the things that worked for other people, and to get busy in my own life looking for things that work for me.
Staying busy at that has kept me from drinking at all for 8 months now. It's not a full time job, but every day I do have to spend some time thinking about what I am going to do with my day. Drinking is not on the "to do" list.

Try to stop taking the 'first drink'. AA might be a good point of 'indentification' for you, although if you'd prefer not to join a group, AVRT is an excellent approach and the method I use.
Welcome.
