Problem drinker or alcoholic/stages of alcoholism
I would say I definitely identify with the second stage and was perhaps on my way into the third if I hadn't quit when I did. Reading the rest made me shudder. I know I can't ever drink again as it will only mean I progress further. I identify with things on that list now that I wouldn't have if I had stayed sober when I first quit a couple years back. I can't screw up this time, it may be my last chance.

Personally I like Dr. Silkworth's description of the situation. Works for me and I'll stick with it.
At the end of the day, it boils down to if alcohol is causing trouble in your life you shouldn't be doing it..... whether you want to call yourself an alcoholic, addict, or a turnip, fun is fun and done is done.
