Five months today...

... and going strong

Today I had my interview to get on the counselling/psychotherapy degree.

I would never have been motivated enough to do this if I was drinking. My life is falling into place in so many good ways.

And I thought sobriety would be boring.

I really was clueless

Wow! Thank you everyone for the wonderful good wishes

My interview went very well and I think I have got in but will know in a few days.

I thought I would attach my first ever post here under this name 5 months ago to maybe give hope eo any newcomers that may be at that early stage when they are unsure (believe me I was.... I wanted to stay sober but didn't really know if I could do it and I have).

I got confirmation today that I have been accepted on the degree course. I am so overwhelmed I don't even know what to think!

Going back to college at 39 - and to do something I always wanted to do!!!

I thank God for my sobriety and long may it last

SUnny- Thanks for sharing your joy with us about being accepted to school. I am very proud of you. I see so much waste in AA that it really does my heart good to hear of someone in the rooms progressing forward. Please keep us up to date as things progress
