Eminem - Although rock and metal are my music of choice, I have to choose him.

And its quite funny.

I listened to all his music as a teenager because it was all about drugs and drinking and partying and what have you.

Now that he has become sober, you can tell by his lyrics he is a man that fought his demons tooth and nail, and loves his daughter more then anything. I know a lot of people can be put off by the vulgarity of the lyrics and what not, but its what works for you to get clean, right?

Just look at my sig, that song by Eminem - Not Afraid. Everytime I listen to it, the last thing on my mind is giving up my sobriety.

Its just so ironic how years ago i was half in the bag off whatever I could get my hands on the time, and listening to Eminem, and now his music helps me through my recovery.

huh ... interesting.... It's hard for me to remember many from before I got into weed or drinking.

Late teens to present was various genre's

Rap>Pop>Techno>Rock>Country and now int he past few weeks a little bit of Contemporary Christian.

( Yeah I like all kinds of music.... as long as it has soul to it. )

I would have to say that sappy crappy 80's **** that I still like to listen to when I want to get all sappy.

REP Speed-wagon , Chicago , Stuff like that

Currently one of them that I really like is one I heard on a Christian station the other day.

drink up, baby, stay up all night
the things you could do, you won't but you might
the potential you'll be, that you'll never see
the promises you'll only make

drink up with me now and forget all about the pressure of days
do what I say and I'll make you okay and drive them away
the images stuck in your head

people you've been before that you don't want around anymore
that push and shove and won't bend to your will
I'll keep them still

drink up, baby, look at the stars
I'll kiss you again between the bars where I'm seeing you
there with your hands in the air, waiting to finally be caught

drink up one more time and I'll make you mine
keep you apart deep in my heart separate from the rest
where I like you the best and keep the things you forgot

the people you've been before that you don't want around anymore
that push and shove and won't bend to your will
I'll keep them still

"Who Am I" by Jackson Sneed is a killer tune.

Search for his video on YouTube. It's cool.

He's a recovering dope fiend/alcoholic.
