i lost a family member about 3 weeks ago and we have about the same amount of time...
my first thought was the bottle too-but after the shell shock wore off, i realized it wasn't really a desire..just a knee jerk reaction that passed very quickly.
it's ok to feel sad, angry, whatever it is. just stay plugged in and lean on us and your sober friends.

Well I'm glad to say I have good news. His heart cath they did yesterday showed little to No damage to the heart. They actually cut him lose and let him come home now. They are treating it with meds right now and think that should be all he will need to treat it. Other than that he has to stop smoking and lose about 70lbs, but it sounds like he is going to come out of this as a VERY lucky person!
