Your sober time.....
My sobriety date is 10/28/08, so I'm coming up to 4 months here. I found SR... I _think_... about 2 days after I'd decided I had a problem. Was referred here by Dr. Google. My original date was august something, but I drank October 27th. It scared the sh!t out of me, which was good, because I put my nose to the grindstone and got serious with AA stepwork. That and SR have saved my health, my sanity and quite possibly my life.

I found SR through Dr. Google, too. :p I lurked forevvvvvver. Scared to death to reach out, I guess. Sober in June signed on in September. I even got a new e mail address so no one (I don't even know who 'no one' is!) would 'find out' I'm alcoholic. Pathetic. That was 3 months sober and I was still pretty fragile.
SR really has saved my life.

My Sobriety date is 4/27/94, I found SR looking for an on line resource for someone who wouldn't go to F2F meetings. I was hooked from the start. I have been here two years, I get inspiration every time I visit.

8-4-04 is my sober date. I'v been here on and off for many years now. Seen a lot of changes and myself had changes too. After being out of the fellowship for years, memebers of SR told me I should try and do a f2f meeting again. Best advice really!
I have 535 days without a drink. First time trying to get sober using a recovery program - and hopefully my last! I found SR about two months into sobriety. It helped in between work and meetings, when my brain was screaming at me. It's been a great supplement to my 6+ meeting a week schedule.

I celebrated 20 years sober last August
I have been a member of SR for the last 2 or 3 years, but in the last year I have stepped up my activity here.I also attend f2f AA regularly.
TooMuch,a happy b-day to you!

I celebrated five years in recovery last June - June 26th to be precise.
I joined a couple years ago. The experience of other people who have worked an AA programme of recovery has been completely invaluable to me. My horizons have been broadened from the meetings I go to regularly, to what feels like the whole global fellowship. At the same time I've really enjoyed reading people who have suffered from alcoholism and addiction and whose journeys have taken different paths from AA. That has really helped to reinforce in me that we "don't have a monopoly on getting sober".

Lets see, my sobriety date is Sept.18th, 2006, I stay sober using AA, I found and joined this site in Nov. of 2006, basically killing time at work.
I have found SR an excellent addition to my recovery along with AA.
I will be honest and say I would not have stayed sober with SR alone, but I sure could with AA alone. I am not knocking SR at all when I say that, SR has led many to paths of sobriety.
Oh yea I have now been sober 892 days now.

My sober time is in my sig. 74 days in, almost the 3 month mark. I find this site to be extremely helpful in my sobriety. It's comforting to know there's others like me in the trenches, and inspiring to see others who've had long term sobriety and are happy in their lives.
Can't remember exactly how I ran across this site a few years ago, either drunk or hungover. Either way I posted here for a while and vanished until early part of last year when I was on an off the wagon for a while. I'm not a serial poster on here but I do read alot of whats said around here and I find it helpful.

Day 4.
I'm very new at this and only allowed myself to realize about two months ago that I'm indeed, an alcoholic.
A good friend of mine sent me a link to this site after I told him that I was trying to quit drinking.

The important thing to remember, it's not so much quantity but quality time as well.
If, this wasn't working to keep me serene, it would make it harder to stay sober and clean.
I'm enjoying life today. There's every day problem in my life today, I have learned to accept
That's the key
