Way to go Paulos! I know how hard it is in social situations when anxiety is present, i was the same- but, for me, its all about pushing through it - going against the grain- and trying the best i can to get the help i need to stay sober.

Congratulations Paulos. Great job on stepping outside your comfort zone, and way to go on the continued sobriety! Keep up the good work.

Hey Paulos, great job on stepping outside of your comfort zone and attending a meeting. I didn't feel very comfortable at my first few meetings either. I stuck it out though and it really did help me. It takes quite a few meetings before you can get a fair assessment of what the program really is about. Don't give up and keep trying.

I hated my first meetings. I was so uncomfortable with myself that I couldn't stand to be around other people.

I didn't like it either, but when I considered the alternative, I found AA was the lesser of the two evils.

No one could convince me except John Barleycorn.
