No fair Groucho!!!

Stone Groucho is right, beleive it or not it sounds as though you may have hit your bottom!

Brother there is no where to from from where you are at but UP!!!!

Surrendering is so crucial to recovery, so many people, myself included spend years and years battling that beast thier way and getting thier butts kicked every time!

I stayed drunk for an extra 10 years because I could not.... would not surrender!

I had to do it my way!

I stayed drunk doing it my way!

I was a man!!! No come to think of it I was THE MAN!!!!!

I did not need any AA or that HP BS those woosies kept talking about.

No way I was going to surrender!!! I did not get where I was at in life by surrendering and I damn sure was not about to start surrendering now!

I did not care how many people got sober and stayed sober in AA, they were a bunch of damn weaklings who could not do it their way!!! They had to do it some one elses way!

I could do it MY WAY!!!! I AM THE MAN!!!!!!

At 52 years old with my tail between my legs I finally surrendered!

My butt was kicked!

I finally admitted my way did not work!

I was not THE MAN!

THE MAN was a damn drunk who could not quit drinking on his own!

Stone believe it or not, but because I finally surrendered I am now happier then I have been in over 30 years.

I openly post my date of sobriety for 2 reasons:

1. It was the day I surrendered.
2. It was the day I quit doing it my way.

You are asking for help, why not call AA and let them help!

Call AA Stone!

People in AA have been there and know who to call and how to get you help.

Remember that many people in the recovery field are recovering themselves and have devoted their lives to helping others.

You don't call a plumber when your auto won't start.

Call the experts!

Just a suggestion...........

Stone since you are now an AA I can give you this....((((((Stone))))))!!! LOL Heck you would have got one any how. Stone you know one day you will be one of those:
2 real nice guys came around-they were sober alkies.
It is called a 12 step call and is one of the best ways to stay sober, working with other alcoholics.

Did they bite you or force you to perform odd rituals swearing allegiance to a Pink Elephant? LOL

See, some of us are actually nice blokes!

Good on ya mate!

Wish I could do more for you but there is this little pond between us.....

BTW, whats an AE? (Dumb yank asking).

Stone, you have just started on the ride of your life. I can promise you that if you stay sober and do as suggested in AA, you life will be better than your wildest dreams.

That's a promise.

Ted
