Fraud? Maybe I am out frauding you right now. I am drinking my ass off here. You are not a fraud if you wanna quit, yes it is hard. I am finding it very hard right now. It is awful, just keep trying. That is importabnt.

Hi everyone. I want to thank all who responded with their stories, comments and words of encouragement. It means a lot to me. You are all a great source of strength and friendship in ways that my other friends just cannot be.
I have not drunk any booze since Sunday afternoon. My wife and I played a boardgame tonight when we got home from work.
I'm happy that I'll remember that tomorrow. Memory is pretty cool, isn't it?

TTM, your post reminds me of what I hate the most about drinking, the dishonesty with myself and with others. The physical addiction, the obsession with my next drink and where it would come from, the disjointed, bizarre, alcoholic behavior and thoughts were all bad, horrible toward the end. At the deepest levels of my being, in my heart, what I hated most and what I could not live with was the dishonesty, the hypocrisy, the lies of thought and words. I thank God that today I have nothing to hide, that I'm sober, and tomorrow I'll ask for His help again, to live another day in the light.

My wife won't be home from work until after 9pm tonight. That is PRIME drinkin' time! But, I choose not to tonight. I'm going to exercise and then run the treadmill instead. After that I've got a movie picked out to watch. If I get tempted, back on the treadmill I go! LOL.
