Glad we're still on the same day, rah555!
Day 11 for me, but barely. In fact, I was driving to the store to buy beer when a monk in an audiobook I was listening to started talking about how damaging it is to drink. I'm sure it was only a coincidence, but it worked anyway. Instead of booze I bought groceries and some orange soda, and now I'm off to bed in a few.
Hang in there, everyone!

Good morning! Man I love biking to work AND not having a hangover. I looooove it. Love it. Nuff said?
First meeting of the day and the big boss wants this new team I lead to go out to "team up and drink up". Man, he kept going on about how we need to really DRINK. I know I should've laughed it off and said something like I dont drink but sure, going out together as a team sounds like fun. I did'nt. I was dumbfounded and sat quitely just nodding. Why oh why is this industry full of drinking? It's totally stupid: can't we team up and be creative without the booze?
So, I really need to be able to say it outloud at work too that hey, I don't drink. I know its probably not that big of a deal to the others - just a big deal to me. Blah.
Anyway, on to another sober day! Have a wonderful day y'all!

Morning all. HP my work is like that too, every out of office activity involves copious amounts of alcohol. I went to one recently but made it clear beforehand I wouldn't be drinking. It went okay and I ducked out when I'd had enough. 'I don't drink' has a nice ring to it!
I have a day long meeting today, not good. I get frustrated by these situations and if I am forced to sit in one place for too long I end up feeling like a caged animal lol. Oh well, I am sure I'll get through it.

Phew, okay, I know other people do this too so I might as well come out and tell people I don't drink. I don't need to go to details, just simply say I don't drink. Yeah - nice ring to it!
