I duplicated my run from 2 days ago and ran it at a less slow pace so I have that to point to.
Dinner tonight is going to be bell peppers stuffed with eggplant. Also, I started curing a brisket so next week we'll have homemade pastrami.

Exercise for the day is going to be a strength class at the gym tonight.
Dinner plans are up in the air; my wife is supposed to go out with some friends and my daughter is also meeting some friends for dinner. As I'll be alone I leaning on reheating leftovers.

It's rare that I'm alone for dinner, but when I am I usually don't cook anything elaborate. Tonight's use of the leftovers is partially due to ease of having a quick and tasty dinner and partially due to practicality. There's not enough for a full family dinner tomorrow so I'd have to cook anyway and we're leaving Friday to spend the weekend with my son who is graduating on Saturday and I'd prefer to not have the proteins hanging out in the refrigerator and possibly not be okay to eat on Monday.

Due to an executive decision by me I went to the gym this afternoon instead of tonight.
Four sets of eight or to failure:
Bb bent over rows
Db single arm rows
Bb overhead presses
Lat pulldowns
Triceps pulldowns
Db curls

It's nice to have that latitude. I'm in a similar position and will be taking advantage of that today. I'm supposed to run and would prefer to be out there shortly, but it's pouring and about 54F/12C so I'm going to wait until the rain stops and the temperature rises.

I'm supposed to run today, but right now it's about 55F/13C and we're experiencing a thunderstorm so I'm going to wait until the storm subsides before I venture out.
We'll be away starting tomorrow afternoon due to my son's college graduation so tonight will be my last time in the kitchen for a few days. Although not a picky eater, my son doesn't care for some flavors that the rest of us do which led me to decide to make an Indian inspired dish tonight.
We'll be having chicken curry served over basmati rice along with homemade naan. Yes, even though my wife and daughter are trying to minimize their carbs at dinner, they've not totally eliminated them and this will count as one of their cheat meals from that protocol. Things will become a little trickier once my son is home because he loves carbs.

Thanks SL. We got home last night; as expected we hit a little holiday traffic while going, but none coming home.
Graduation Weekend
It was a wonderful weekend that recognized the accomplishments of the graduates and served as a nice demarcation between the past four years and what lies ahead. Fortunately, the numerous speakers were generally quite good and the weather was cooperative for the entire weekend. We ate well and aside from walking we did no exercise with the exception of moving some furniture. With all those restaurant meals I'm feeling a little bloated, but a solid workout this morning and an emphasis on hydration will start the normalization process.
I'll be going to the gym in a little while.

After warm ups, there were 3 rounds of:
Seated Bb shoulder presses
Assisted chin ups
Table top TRX rows
Pushups
Mid range TRX rows
Standing Db shoulder presses
Incline pushups
Dinner tonight is going to be crab cakes with a side salad or maybe some type of slaw.

I ran a couple of miles in the late morning at a 9:21 pace.
Dinner is going to be pan seared pork chops with sautéed onions and the side is going to be creamed spinach.
Lastly, I'll mention that we're watching our next door neighbor's daughter until Friday so I'll once again be in the "make breakfast and lunch mode". It's kind of ironic I'm back to that after having my youngest child graduate college a few days ago.
