Grateful I'm learning to embrace change (most of the time) instead of avoiding it. It's taken me almost all my life to realize this; I can't make room for new people, places or things until I let go of what is not serving me any more.
Grateful to see an old friend of mine yesterday whom I was close with for many years & realize that our lives are taking different paths now & that's okay. She'll always have a special place in my heart but she's made the choice to stay in a relationship that I feel is abusive (she doesn't). We really don't have much in common anymore, learning to let go & remember all the special times we've had over the years.
Grateful my son made it home safely last night & we're going out together for lunch today.

Grateful for September mornings, the light is magical.
Grateful for another fabulous nights sleep, sleeping is something that I do really really well!
Grateful that I'm beginning to have faith that my holiday will be a sober one (I've been having horrible thoughts that the Wine Gremlin will use the holiday as a way to ensnare me again, I need more faith)

Wow. Grateful for all these amazing posts.
Grateful for a shorter week.
Grateful for my dog. He makes me get out of bed. Lol
Grateful that things could be so much worse. And to remember that they have been so much worse when I drank.

Grateful for an absolutely beautiful sunset last night, and a sunrise filled with songbirds, and the feeling of fall.
Grateful the hummingbirds had a good summer here, but it's time to allow them to be on their way.
Grateful for the posts there that make me think of all the reasons why I should be grateful.
Grateful for the sound of a purring cat - pure contentment.
Grateful for a great boss (I've been blessed with many), that knows we are human, have needs, and allows flexibility in my job.

Grateful for the the bus that takes me where I need to go. Grateful for the copy of "came to believe" my sponsor lent me and time to read it. Grateful for some time this morning to read Wayne dyer's blog before I start working. Grateful hangovers and getting high aren't a part of my life anymore, and how much good that fact allows in my life. Grateful today I'll be outside, working in nature. Grateful for a beautiful September morning. GRateful it's already Wednesday!
This is my first grateful post, so I'm going to get some of the big ones out of the way:
I'm grateful that
I'm grateful that
- I never hurt anyone while drinking and driving
- I got a DUI because it stopped me from drinking and driving
- My liver tests haven't shown any damage
- I'm healthy enough to take my dog on long hikes
- I have a job that I like that pays the bills
- I haven't ruined my job through drinking
- I have hope for the future
- I'm 22 days sober!
you just need some major all around Gold Star Hugs
