You people are messing this place up with all your frivolity.

Day 12. Interestingly, I had a thought to buy some wine on the way home from work. And it wasn't a craving. Just a thought. And then I drove right past the store and smiled the rest of the way home. And scrubbed the kitchen and did chores for about an hour because I don't know why. Anyway, I'm good.

Sober again today. Was very agitated this afternoon for no particular reason. So after dinner, I went for a nice brisk walk, and that along with a cup of Joe has put me in a nice place. So I'm in for the evening, will catch up on a little work, watch a little TV and off to bed.

Hi Sober Marchers!

I had a rather busy day. Saw my therapist this afternoon (usually just go every 3 months) but I had previously noticed but hadn't mentioned that after each of my visits my AV would be all stirred up and I would stop and pick up some wine on the way home. So I told her about it today and before I left she came back to that topic and we talked about the need for me to go home without wine (I knew I would be stopping at the grocery store on the way home). I was still mildly tempted but firmly put the AV out of my mind, did my shopping and went home. Wow, that felt so good! No white-knuckling but used some logic and determination. I feel like I passed a milestone. I know I need to stay aware and on top of this.

Sassy

On our previous thread Jambry raised the matter of minor health issues clearing up and whether others had noticed something similar. I can't quote as the thread is closed and I can't copy and paste probably for the same reason.

Both soopy and blondsober said they had noticed various improvements and so have I -- big time -- even though it's only Day 13 for me. I'm sleeping well (waking up a bit but sleeping deeply) waking feeling good instead of like hell, I have a good normal appetite and a lot more energy. I don't get sleepy/lethargic in the afternoons as I was doing although I'm still very tired at the end of the days but tired in a good way.

I can carry on a normal conversation in the mornings, I don't need a glass of juice plus three glasses of water to start rehydrating. I don't feel like throwing up.

Now that the recovery headaches are easing off I can't believe how headache-free I am in comparison to a "normal" day! Raging thirsts have departed and the inside of my mouth doesn't taste foul. Reflux- gone. Anxiety and paranoia feelings -- rapidly departing.

Part of that would be better hydration levels and eating more but it's also what is not going into me as well as sleeping properly. My skin and hair look better.

Like blondsober I find the err -- laxative effect has gone. Now this is pretty good for an old grey mare (remember the horse liniment??) of 57 on Day 13, you kids in your 20s, 30s and 40s can expect even more I suspect.

If I got nothing more out of this than what I have now it would be more than enough.
