I'm stating a new goal too, once my illness passes, I want to get in better shape. Alchohol above all else destroys my exercise habbit, every time. I want to continue abstaining from booze, too.
Hi Alex, I hope you stay sober and lucid. Let us know how you go with the Doctor and any treatment options you choose.
Your life is in your hands. No one here is going to do it for you. I'm not really interested in reading someone else's running commentary on reaching slow death through substance abuse. I'm interested in reading how you binned all the drugs and stay clean and sober. I want to read your account of sustained recovery. Take care

I'm feeling much better today, but am still sick... I'm craving alchohol with a madness right now, mostly because the thoughts won't go away yet... still feeling blah, which is several layers better than i was feeling.

I've relapsed on everything but meth and tobacco. psychologist appt tomorrow. never got to a regular doctor, because this is my life, and that means huge and random delays, setbacks, and losses are all but guaranteed...
Only way I ever got sober was by taking a spiritual path. By no longer relying on my own self will or any other person but by turning it over and seeking help from a spiritual source. I had my spiritual experience, my white light moment and I lost the compulsion to drink. I felt free. I've not drunk again and with Gods grace I never will.
Try praying Alex. Are you ready to believe in a power greater than yourself? One you alone define but put all your trust and faith in? You have more strength and power than you realize, you are just powerless over your addiction till you turn it over.
Take care
Your life is whatever you choose to make of it. Making your sobriety the highest priority in your life would be a good choice if sobriety is what you want. It will also only get worse until you do.

Alex, maybe you need a little tough love. How many people do you know in their 40's, 50's or 60's that make the choices you have been? It's your life and you control it. I hope you choose to live. I'm rooting for you!

I went to the appointment, and was honest about my opiate use. he wasn't alarmed, we planned to set up a treatment program in the area, where I'll check in every day and stuff... so again, I wait...

Don't confuse calm advice from the Doctor as a lack of alarm. The use you have detailed here IS alarming.
I guess it's up to you if you are ready to get sober or if talking about it for years is your step towards sobriety.
You have to want this for it to work. There's no other way.

My favorite guinea pig died at approximately 8:40
she will be missed. she was the calmest most chill gup ever,
and helped me get over many withdrawals in my addictions...
especially the noradrenaline released by petting her, which helped
me to stay off of crystal meth.

Jesus God, you reminds me of me, Alex. In my opinion, you in a very RARE window right now. You still very young and you brain can recover. You can have full, healthy life. If I could go back in time machine, I would say to younger self, "Self, does WHATEVER you f*cking has to do to pull out of this now, cuz it only gonna get uglier, lonelier, sicker, more painful, harder, sadder, more destructive, deadlier, etc. Turn you self in, blow up you life if you has to, just get the help you need.

I encountered some triggers... I'm having really bad cravings for "something more" than ammount of pot I'm allowing myself to smoke tonight... I'm thinking about getting a gatorade or something from a store to get my mind off of it... but I'm definately feeling agitated and restless...
