most folks start in newcomers, but it depends on your history and interests - we have an alcoholism forum, a substance abuse forum, family and friends forums, a chat room and a lot more besides

best idea I think is to just...jump in!

I guessI'd offer the same advice as everyone else, don't try to run before you can walk, browse the forums until you find one you can personally identify with,read the various threads and the responses, take what support you can from them, may be leaving a little ,'thank you' message, and when you're ready ,'pitch in' or even post your own thread, a day at a time, works every time...
