Hi-I can't believe I'm here but glad I found you. I've got questions. If I'm not on the right forum, please let me know. I was clean for a long time-about 15 years. god that sounds sick just to say it. I'm on meth and want to wean my self off-has anyone done that before? How? and how was it? and anything else you can tell me about it. thanks.

I don't know if "weening" off is good... I guess there are a lot of questions that need to be answered before people start giving you advice. I'm not a good source but, I looked and saw over 800 people looked at your post and didn't say anything. IDK,... I weened off of oxy 30s and am still having a hard time with the methadone. I don't know where you live but, is there a place you can go for help??? you said you were off for 15years ...how did you start??? never give up friend!!! your worth too much.

I'm pretty sure the original poster was referring to methamphetamine, not methadone. I kicked meth 7 years ago and it wasn't easy...Ppick a day when you can sleep undisturbed for two or three days. Turn off your phone, put some water and snacks next to your bed, and get ready for a few days of nasty withdrawal. Weening doesn't work. Just stop. You CAN do it!

i cut down my ice use by "weening" myself down after a psychotic episode.. never give up giving up... i have a problem myself and need help but from experience professional help is best and will power

Concept- Are you addicted to both ice/meth and alcohol? How many days were you up before your episode. God I know its so hard, but you can do it!
