dSober - I am happy to hear about your decision to be baptized. It is great to hear that you were able to find God post-addiction.
I grew up in the Church, and went through all the motions that a "good Christian" should. Inside though, I was a hypocrite. I was rolling my eyes internally when I would hear about Christ going to the prison to save the sinners. Addiction was a great big humble pie stuffed down my throat. I doubt I ever would have understood God if it wasn't for my addiction.
