Truly grateful...
Truly grateful...
I love these two quotes,
'Some people expend an awful lot of time and energy on just being normal'
Albert Camus
perhaps balanced by,
'The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.'
Carl Rogers
The more I progress in recovery, the more I realize and accept, as I did in my self diagnosis, that I was and am , albeit now sober. All done without mine or anyone else permission, an alcoholic.
All this being said, I also realize and accept the advice that came from the lips of the guy who took me to my first A A meeting to,'Let go, and let God.'
Which perfectly puts the two previous quotes into, for me, their correct context.
Providing great quality and credibility in, not only them but the progress I've made in both my recovery and sobriety.
For which I am truly grateful to the god of my understanding...
