Hi! I'm new here...was just browsing and happened to come across this forum. I have been in Alanon for 8 years (in October) and years prior to this in ACA. When I was in my early twenties I drank heavily and got high for about a month or two so I could fit in with my constantly drunk/stoned friends, but became bored and quickly moved on. I am 42 now, and I guess if I chose to drink or smoke pot, I might overindulge. But, I simply don't because of my alcoholic childhood and the damage I have seen/still see that alcohol does to people's lives. :devil2:

Is there anyone here from Santa Rosa in any type of recovery? What about those in Alanon?
