Attitude is everything
Attitude is everything. Two little boys were playing on the beach at the edge of the ocean when suddenly a large wave rushed over them. When the wave receded, one boy was crying and the other was laughing. They were both hit by the same wave, but each percieved it very differently. Remember that it's not what happens to us, but what attitude we choose that shapes our experiences.
Find the silver lining. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Look for the positive in everything negative that happens in your life. :ghug

I loved this. Thank You
That made me see the light here. I know people can look at things a different way. I started to have questions about myself because of the different opinons here. Yes I quit drinking on my own but I am no different than anybody here.
I guess what I am trying to say is that I have remained sober. And want to keep it that way.

Outstanding attitude Comet. I think we all can get so caught up in our "recovery" program that we can easily forget that there are other ways to beat this disease and what is important is beating it not what program one chooses. Good to see yours is working for you.
I am just scared that at some future moment in time, I will "entertain" a drinking thought and "act" upon it. I want it to be 100% out of the question! Patience, I suppose. And keep working at my recovery.
I do try and take the positive out of negative situations (it's always there if you think about it). It is about attitude and the "facts" as I see them .

Thank You for this Nandm, and all of you.
I am pleased to see so many open minded people here.
I keep an attitude with gratitude at all times.
I write down three things every day that I am grateful for.
I am in charge of my life, my thoughts, my actions and my attitude, it is up to me, I accept the responsibility.
