jt-I sure don't think you're bad, friend. What to do about lack of total commitment? Hmmm. I remember being at that stage and it's not an uncommon one. My hope is that you do not give up completely, but keep trying until you get there....for I believe it will come. It's part of the process, if you will...so try, try again and keep trying.
