story of addiction
So its day 3!
Thanks to your prayers I got much more sleep than expected. Even though I woke up almost every hour it still felt good to get some sleep. My symptoms of aches and chills are much worse today. As I get ready for work I'm prepared for another very long day.
I really don't have much time and need to get ready for work, I love you all and will most definatley be posting more after work

Made it through day 3!
Feeling well enough to go out with my friends tonight. I can feel myself getting better already! I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and take on day 4. I'm almost out of the woods and theres no turning back!!
Will post later, best wishes to all my recovering buddies

Hang in there Chris! If you're able to go to work - Jeeze, you're tougher than me buddy! I wasn't able to get off the recliner and couch for 4 days! It was just today I was able to get out for an hour.
Day 4
For some reason I always feel much better during the day than at night. I did only wake up a couple times last night, amd can definately tell a difference in my sleep. I'm hoping to feel a lot better by tomorrow so i can get out of the house again.
Still a little achy and chilly but it only seems to be real noticable at night time. Im starting to feel a whole lot better!
Off to work, will post later.

Hi lowlow, you are doing AMAZING! While I didn't have to get up and go to work, I still had to work because I'm a SAHM of a special needs child, it was pure hell. I've also been in and out of the c/t - opiate crap for many years...10 1/2 to be exact. I think you have a great attitude about all of this and that is admirable. You are in my thoughts. I look forward to your updates, we are all here for you every step of the way. Take care of yourself (((lowlow))).

Amazing low low
Your recovery has been amazing to read about. You are so strong.
I had to work days 4-7.... And I almost didn't make it. There is no way I could have been at work for days 1-3.
Hope you are able to make this your last stop.

It's going great stepping, I appreciate you asking!
Today is my 7th day completely clean from the oxy. I still do not feel 100% but I am feeling MUCH better than i did earlier this week. I believe in another 7 days the physical will be completely gone and then i will have to fight the mental.
I thank everyone here, seriously I really needed SR to help with my recovery. It can be done to everyone else going through this struggle. Just get it over with!

Ivan.... I'm also on day 10.... Wish I felt as good as you do. Still have tummy and eating issues. Tired too. Can't wait to feel good again!
Gotta brave work again tomorrow.
Keep it going everyone.

Hey, you guys are all awesome. Keep up the fantastic work.
For those who MUST work the first couple of weeks, pack a good supply of juices or herb teas, and maybe bring a BIG hot thermos of some kind of healthy soup that you really really like. This is no time to skimp on your food budget. Get whatever you want, whatever you think your stomach can deal with anyway. High fluid content is important. If you have access to a toaster, make lots of toast. Another poster here a few months ago described how toast making was therapeutic for her during recovery. I know it sounds weird, but it is soothing. I wish I could credit the author of the post. If you are reading, please acknowledge!
Finally, know it will get better and better. This, too, shall pass. Your rewards will be here big time right when the weather gets better and you will really feel like being outside in the fresh air, doing cool stuff you probably didn't do while using.
