Well, this isn't the one I have the most problem with. Will have to review and weigh in. Truth is, yesterday - even yesterday IS gone. Now, the consequences might not be. But still gone and what is the value of dwelling on the past? Not that I don't do it.

I always like zencats approach of building a program that works for you as an individual.
A personalized treatment program has been the best for me...After all why limit oneself with an outdated or antiquated addiction treatment procedures (that last sentence was for you and you alone Katie...*smile*) Okay aside from my personal prejudices...there is a bounty of life skills that can be applied to ones addiction treatment...including 12-step fellowships. I guess the point I'm trying to make is addiction recovery starts with a commitment to seek out the resources that avail one into a healthy life. Be that a pre-made plan or one personalized, the difference lies in a commitment to change for the better.

No argument But why not take the best of all - in a balanced approach, and formulate "best practices?" That's what they do in business and, I imagine, other fields.
