How things have changed in 30 days....

Today is my 30 days and to celebrate I am going to list all those things that have changed for me in the last month.
I have regained some self respect and self esteem.
I have laughed more than I have in the last 6 mo. put together.
I have spent more time with my dad and my sister, rebuilding our relationships and therefor getting rid of the guilt I had for not hanging out with them.
I have my drive back if you know what I mean. lol
I have been eating better, LOTS of salad and garlic bread!
I have lost weight although I dont know how much
I am able to enjoy the small things again...a breeze..a look...a cloudy afternoon watching movies
I can now understand my moms addiction much better
I dont mind cleaning the house, it makes me feel productive
Im more patient with my huzzy
I dont blame others as much
I dont judge others as much
I feel hopeful now that I can make my life anything I want it to be.......

Please share your changes....

Congratulations,

I agree totally with all your changes I have some that are similar,

I am learning to forgive and not hold grudges.

I am loving myself.

I like what I see in the mirror.

I'm making new friends.

I keep my car clean. (it was a mess)

I'm listening to music instead of watching the news allday.

I love life today more than I did 33 days ago.

Congratulations again,:ghug3

Hey vividserenity and Amazonqueen -

Congrats on your sobriety and joy
We are traveling about about the same time sober - in my 30th day today.. I love reading your lists.. some of it I share.. Way to go and thanks for the post. Are either of you in any kind of group program? I am not - using SR, two friends and lots of reading. Try to get to SR every day (like my "meeting").

Good to be with you here on this journey..

I have a lot more money in my wallet

When someone bugs me I just yell at them instead of hitting them

I don't have to make the bed on the weekends because I am up before my wife

I have got the first cold that I have had in 10 years

I have no desire to drink though

Hey Bam - that does not sound like a little change..

Furb - do you think the drink was a disinfectant? weird - first cold in 10 years.

I had this idea that I would not get allergies because I stopped drinking - NOT.. sneezing away in the wind right now but still feeling good - better to be sneezing sober than full of wine!

No group really except for SR. I have the support of my friends and my huzzy. I did start off with a two days in a Detox Center...from there I just check in here everyday....thanks for the support

I am in the thirty day neighborhood also and am only using SR and the wife for support. So be kind to me. My better half is very supportive. Everyday with frying pan in hand she says" You are not going to drink today ARE YOU?"
