My wonderful AA meeting!! :-)
I had a great AA meeting tonight! It was small, only 5 of us. They are about to close that meeting down and it was empty when I got there. I was hoping that someone else would show up. It turned out to be just the 5 of us, but that turned out to be a great thing. I shared and actually said that I was an alcoholic. A lot of attention was given to me because I was the newcomer.
It was great!! At the end of the meeting, someone gave me a meeting list and 2 AA books. I also got hugs.
I had a great time and I will keep coming back!!

Sometimes the small meetings are the best ! and you got all the attention cos you WERE the most important person there !

It is so great being able to reach out and actually have people who understand.
A lot of my family and friends do not understand what I am going through but when I get to a meeting, I always walk away with something that helps me.
I am truly grateful with all of my heart.
