Happy Valentine's Day to everyone at SR all around the globe!!!!

We are going out to dinner tonight and I want to look back on it tomorrow with a great memory of how wonderful it was and not because I had too much of anything...except my husband of course!
I will celebrate with a club soda and lemon wedge, how about you?

:ValB010: I went out to dinner last night with my husband for Valentines a day early. I had mineral water and lime - 2 of them to be exact!!!! I actually had fun. Today starts day 9 for me. I was worried if anything was going to be fun anymore - and last night I caught myself laughing, it felt good!

Happy Valentine's Day to All!!! I get to celebrate by working!!! Yay!!!
I bought a dozen roses for myself because I'm working on having the best relationship with myself first and foremost. I will get married...eventually.

I am "celebrating" Valentine's Day at work. After work I will celebrate this evening with my Ladies Group at my AA Home Group doing a step study.
I am still adjusting to the loss of my ex-SO but it's been a week and a half, I am still sober and I will be ok so that is all that counts.
As my mom used to tell me, there ARE worse things than being alone. I'm starting to finally understand what she was talking about.

IMHO, after all the other holidays, it's just another sad reminder of being single. I wish I had someone to buy flowers for!

Hi all, Big Valentines smooch's from the formerly Oblivius one. The wiflet and I dont celebrate the Hallmark Holiday but I do have fond memories as a child in school trading valentines. Valentine...Where the heck does that word come from? Its kindoff a strange word.
I promise to be my usual romantic self tonight just like every other night. Oh Im feeling so lovey maybe the Valentine thing is having an effect on me after all.

Saint Valentine, according to romantic legend, was a kind-hearted Roman priest who married young couples against the wishes of Emperor Claudius II, and was beheaded for his deeds on the 14th of February.
Even though this day is over, just thought you'd like to know. This is--like it said, according to legend. There was a St. Valentine but as far as the accuracy of this information--it's hard to tell. This was supposed to have happened around the year 270 A.D., but I'm sure the truth has been blurred after so many years...
