Thanks for sharing the good news! And you're welcome again! The side effects should diminish over time as the benefits become apparent. Glad you decided to hang in there!

Love and hugs,
Eddie

well i got an e-mail from my mom this morning, i've really gotta say she is scaring me.
she is just too bubbly. I know i should be thankful, for all she is going through, that she may have a smile on her face, but it's just not like her. It's almost like i'm talking to someone else. Could this be only from the pills??

hugs, Wendy

One thing that can happen sometimes is that if someone is actually bipolar instead of simply depressed, antidepressants can kick them into a manic episode. Does your mom have any history of manic episodes?

Love and hugs,

Too much energy, too happy (or too irritable), talking too much, thinking too fast, not sleeping, just generally "hyper." There's a list of criteria used for diagnosis, but I hope this gives you some idea. And I hope your mom is just experiencing the benefits of the Cipralex and maybe you're just thrown off 'cause you're not used to her being healthy, you know? Does that make sense?

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Extremely Tired

I just started Cipralex. I've been on it for almost 2 weeks now. I started with 5 mg the first week and moved up to 10mg. The first 3 days I took it my anxiety was completely gone, it has since returned. Has this happened to anyone? Also I am extremely tired. To the point where I can barely function. I am currently in school, and its affecting my ability to do homework as I am in bed by 8pm with my kids, and awake at 5am, I am soooo tired...HELP! I'm ready to quit this if someone doesn't tell me this symptom will go away.
