37 days and no methadone!!!!!!!!!

WELL IT HAS BEEN 37 DAYS NOW OFF THE METHADONE.... STILL HAVING THE LATHARGY. WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY MY THS LEVEL WAS180.90 THE HIGHEST MY DOCTOR SAID HE HAD EVER SEEN. HE KNOWS I AM COMING OFF THE METHADONE. HE SAYS I AM SEVERLY HYPOTHYROID AND PUT ME ON SYNTHROID. MAYBE IS WILL HELP WITH THE BEING SO TIRED ALL THE TIME . IS THIS A GOOD THING OR A BAD THING. HELP!!!!!

Congratulations Trish!!! :bravo That's awesome. I hope the synthroid helps with your energy level. I have found that exersising has helped with my energy immensly. Try taking a walk, or jumping rope or something to kick start your mojo.

Good luck and again, congrats on 37 days off meth!!

hey, good job on the 37 days, i kicked methadone 2 yrs ago and it is not easy.. but ou can do it! i don't know anything about ths levels or hypothyroids, but roxann is right, just getting up and taking a walk will help a lot. my experience was that it took about 2- 3 months to get my energy level back to "normal", meanwhile take it easy on yourself. i don't know if your into aa or na, but i found that the support i got around the tables was priceless. good luck, and don't give up!

YAY Trish,
It's so nice to hear some positve news hear,someimes ya feel like it can't be done! But your post reall gave me some inspiration to KICK this for good!The last time I took Methadone was 1/29,but only off sub for 23 days.I'm trying,I still have to take the ativan for anxiety,but gointo a counselor,ther could be just something else going on.Don't think the anxiety& anxiousness should still be this bad.
But your success story really put a smile on my face,I couldn't be more happier for you!! Awesome job!!!
Keep us posted on how wonderful each day gets! It's nice to hear when a friend succeeds!! Woo Hoo
