You heard them. (bubbaBob and Trish). It looks so hard and yet it's so simple.
Go to a therapist to help dealing with this personal problem. You'll see one the treatments will be A/A to deal with the overall problem.
Stop doing whatever you're doing now (Ihope it's not drinking) and do the above.
P.S.: I've already had a severe depression, I'm divorced, I'm an alcoholic, the difference is I don't have a kid, but here I am.

it's true, without the desire it's almost impossible to stay clean. I can't say it was desire that brought me here though. I basically had no choice because I had lost everything. I hope you don't have to get to that place. Try reading some of the posts and see what many people have to go through to get that desire. It isn't pretty but maybe it will motivate you to try.
