I called 24 PetWatch and spoke with a nice guy who helped me reregister Billie and buy her a lifetime membership so she'd be protected always. She is also getting a chip ID tag with her chip number on one side and the pet watch number on the other side.

Had my podiatrist appt today to cut my toenails since they are thick and misshapen and I can't cut them myself. I asked the doctor if she could put something on my big toes as they hurt badly and when she cuts the nail, it hurts. She didn't use the clipper, but took the round sander and sanded my toenails down and it didn't hurt at all. She even sanded down my worst calluses so they're not so bad.

Billie was a good girl in her crate while I was gone. When I came home she was lying quietly in her crate. I took her to the porch potty and she peed. Then I gave her a treat.

Good Afternoon Weekenders.

Just back from ferrying Mil and her sister to their cousin’s funeral. I didn’t know their cousin so stayed in the car. I would’ve gone in but they didn’t expect me to.

Nice to see the sun out after all the rain we’ve had.

Hope everyone’s ok. Shout out if you want to.

Love to all Weekenders xxxx

My big news is that I got another cat yesterday, bringing the total to three. Crazy cat lady starter kit, LOL. I never thought I’d have three cats. My limit has always been two. BUT one of my cats is getting pretty old (at least 16, probably closer to 17) and showing real signs of old age. She and my other cat who is about 13 are a bonded pair. When the older one inevitably crosses that rainbow bridge, I don’t want the younger one to be left alone. So, I started looking at the local recuses and found this cutie. She is a true rescue, as she escaped a fire in a drug house where she was living with quite a few other cats. She was pregnant. She was at a foster where she had her kittens. Once they were all adopted, this mama cat went up for adoption. They think she’s about 2. The fosters named her Crystal, sort of as a little joke, since it was most likely a meth house she was living in. I WILL be giving her a new name. I don’t know what yet.

My cats are suspicious and a bit hissy with her, but I think they will all settle in soon, and become friends. The new cat is not aggressive in any way, she’s very curious but steers clear of the other cats for now. She's very sweet and affectionate with me already.

Alpine, for now, it's Crystal. But I'm changing it -- see my reason in my post. I don't have a new name for her yet. Need to get to know her a bit.

Oh, it's OK! I know you have struggles right now.

Anyone have any ideas what to name her? Right now I'm thinking Yuki, or Jiji. Jiji is the name of the cat in a Studio Ghibli movie called "Kiki's Delivery Service." I love the name, but in the movie that cat is solid black, so it's not quite right. Yuki is Japanese for "snow" or "happiness."

Cute kittie, awwww. 💗
Glad to be up and sober and here with all my friends. I went to the dentist yesterday. Deep cleaning that cost a fortune! I have to go back next month for the next one. I supposedly have good dental insurance except for the fact that I've discovered they don't make good dental insurance! I need 4 crowns, $1,000 a piece. A little at a time. I have to get glasses too. I have insurance for that. I hope it covers something.
I need to win the Lotto. I need a new car too. Let Go and Let God.
Have a wonderful, sober day. Another hot one here today! Love and peace to all.

, Weekenders.

Very pretty cat, MLD.

YIKES, Aly, that is a lot of dental work. Why is dentistry so darn expensive?

MLD, what a cute kitty.

Home health nurse came today to change the dressing. I will be so glad when the wound is fully healed and I don't have to have this big itchy bandage on my leg.

Aly, that reminds me that I have to find out if my insurance covers dental, in whole or in part. I desperately need to go...
